A great way to stay active is to participate in a type of physically challenging competition such as a marathon, triathlon, Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, etc. Lately these types of activities have been very popular as the fitness industry is gaining more recognition.
Participating in these events can help change up your fitness routine. It allows individuals to set a goal within a certain amount of time (the date of the event) and can keep things interesting. While preparing it can be a great tool to lose weight and gain muscle.
I would definitely recommend signing up for one of these activities to keep them engaged in staying active.
